Tingle Factory
The Tingle Factory will source and sell special cars and motorcycles and use our international experience and contacts to give our customers access to events that will help them extract the maximum tingle from their machines.
About Tingle Factory

The Tingle Factory is an innovative take on purchasing a classic car or motorcycle. We will not only sell customers their dream vehicle, we will provide opportunities to use their vehicle in a huge range of events and locations.

The Story

The concept draws together Mark and Neil's lifetime experience as premium automotive professionals. Enthusiastic riders, drivers, racers and motoring event organisers for companies such as Triumph, MV Agusta and Piaggio, they have the commercial, management and organisational skills - as well as the passion and a global list of contacts – to deliver a unique package for their customers.

As some examples, we intend to participate with our clients and investors at events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, The Sunday Ride Classic at Circuit Paul Ricard in the south of France, Bikers Classic at Spa Francorchamps Belgium, The ASI Classic in Varano, Italy, and the F1 night race in Singapore, along with much closer events like the Wheels and Wings event at our home base at Dunsfold Aerodrome in the UK.

‘The Tingle Factory’ will also have a private lounge at our UK base, where customers can indulge their passion for great vehicles and meet other like-minded people in an atmospheric, relaxed atmosphere, have a tea or coffee – or something stronger if they’re not driving - browse our library of books, magazines, DVDs and memorabilia, play with our Scalextric (oh yes!) or just relax and watch a motoring film.

Bikes With a Tingle

For our opening stock we are in the process of negotiating the outright purchaseof a private collection of 39 Italian motorcycles from the 1950s and 1960s. The collection includes six classic MV Agustas - including an ex-works 250cc racer - three increasingly sought-after 50cc Grand Prix racing bikes and a selection of beautifully preserved machines from manufacturers including Maserati, Aermacchi, Benelli, Ducati, Gilera, Moto Guzzi and Parilla.

Each motorcycle we have chosen has a wonderful patina and a documented history and some – such as the MV racer and an AWO racing bike also in the collection – are ultra-rare, if not unique. What’s more, all are ready to ride, race, parade and simply enjoy. We have attached some pictures of the bikes and cars that we will be purchasing.

 Bike Purchase

Some of the bikes that we will be purchasing.

Using our global network of trade contacts we will add a selected range of more modern machinery such as Honda’s RC30, Yamaha’s RD range and Suzuki’s two-stroke RGV machines.

Our four-wheel stock will be sourced from our trade contacts, private sales and the auction scene. Examples of models we are targeting in up-coming sales are a Lotus Cortina, a Triumph GT6 racer, a works rally replica Nissan 240Z, an E-Type Jaguar Series 3 V12 Coupé, a Maserati Merak, Ferrari 308 GT4 and Lancia Delta Integrales in EVO 1 and EVO 2 specification.

The Market

The classic sports vehicle market is a thriving segment, particularly as enthusiasts see the opportunity to get the best of both worlds – a sound investment that also delivers massive amounts of pleasure. Despite a cooling of values after a period of massive increases, as James Knight of Bonhams says on classicdriver.com : ”the world is still populated by people that have a great love and enjoyment for these cars, and that will never change”.

How will we make a Profit?

Main revenues will be from the sale of sports and classic cars and motorcycles and automobilia.
Sales are calculated to achieve a gross margin of 25% with an annual stock turn of five – a realistic objective based on our extensive automotive business experience.
We forecast growing our stock value by reinvesting 50K per year into the purchase of additional vehicles.
